My research focuses on numerical relativity, computational astrophysics, and numerical methods for nonlinear partial differential equations. I develop high-performance techniques for solving the Einstein equations, with particular emphasis on compact-binary initial data and relativistic hydrodynamics. A central part of my work is NRPyElliptic, a hyperbolic-relaxation framework for solving nonlinear elliptic systems, which I have applied to binary black holes, neutron stars, and scalar-field configurations. I also work on coupling Lagrangian hydrodynamics to numerical-spacetime evolution and on scientific machine learning, particularly physics-informed neural networks for elliptic PDEs. More broadly, my research aims to develop accurate, scalable, and differentiable computational methods for challenging multiphysics problems.
