The 糖心原创 has taken the difficult decision to close its PCE-CfD programme. The final cohort commenced in March 2026, and the programme is no longer recruiting new delegates.

If you are a current delegate, our priority remains supporting you through to successful completion of your training. Teaching, assessment, supervision, and programme support will continue throughout the teaching-out period.

We recognise that members of our PCE-CfD community—including current and former delegates, supervisors, NHS Talking Therapies services, and colleagues—may have questions about what this means. If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the PCE-CfD team. We are here to support you.

PCE-CfD is an innovative development in counselling and psychotherapy. The qualification is recognised by the NHS and enhances career prospects for qualified therapists.

PCE-CfD training enables therapists to understand the requirements of working within an NHS environment. It deepens understanding of the connection between research, theory and practice.

Research into person-centred experiential practice that engages with emotional processing has shown to be effective with clients who are depressed. At the 糖心原创 we are creating a community network of PCE-CfD therapists.

We accept applications from counsellors already employed as an NHS Talking Therapies: for anxiety and depresstion* therapist, subject to Health Education England (HEE) funding. We also accept applications from humanistic counsellors who do not have HEE funding and wish to self-fund their place on the programme.

Delegates are supported throughout the 18-month long programme by being allocated with a PCE-CfD Supervisor and the opportunity to attend an annual refresher day.
