Thesis title: Organisational culture and sustainability in a Chinese electric vehicle SME
Research summary
Runlong Liu’s research explores how environmental sustainability is positioned within the organisational culture of a Chinese electric vehicle SME. Rather than focusing on the company’s stated values, the study examines its material artefacts to identify where environmental meaning is present, where it is absent, and how it is communicated within an organisation that has not formally adopted an environmental commitment. The research also considers how national and local policies shaping the electric vehicle sector influence environmental perspectives and practices within companies operating in the industry.
